Former Nigerian international striker Emmanuel Amunike has been named Tanzania national team coach on a two-year deal.
Amunike was part of the 1994 African Cup of Nations Nigerian winning team and had stints in Al Hazim of Saudi Arabia as an assistant coach ,Julius Berger and Ocean Boys both of Nigeria.
He was unveilled yesterday in Dar es salaam recieving praise from TFF President Wallace Karia.
“Amunike will be with us for two years but the contract is renewable if he meets the set targets,” said Karia.
“All I need is support from all stakeholders to move Tanzania football to another step, it is possible because we have talents all of Africa,” said the Amunike.
