As the 2018/2019 transfer deadline come to a close ,a host of African players abroad made several moves with the biggest transfer being of the Senegalese teenager Moussa Wague who joined Spanish giants FC Barcelona.
Wague’s move to FC Barcelona highlighted one of the most talked moves as the teenager who impressed in the recently concluded World Cup tournament moving from his Belgian side to FC Barcelona on a deal that will keep him at the at Barcelona for a period of four years.
Kouyate joines Palace
Wague’s countryman and national team captain Cheikou Kouyate made a move from premiership side and London based club Westham United to Crystal Place for a four year period.
Ayew secures a loan move to Palace.
Ghanaian prodigy Jordan Ayew also secured a season long deal with Crystal Palace from relegated side Swansea Fc.The youngster who had a good season at Swansea despite going down will have a premiership feel as he seeks to impress and possibly secure a permanent move.
Olunga joins Kashiwa Reysol
Kenyan International striker Michael Olunga secured a move to Japanese side Kashiwa Reysol on a 3 year deal worth kshb300M and that which will see him pocket ksh 15M monthly .Olunga how was at Spanish Premiership side FC Girona will be looking to redeem himself after not having good season in Spain.
Buya joins Sint- Turide
Sierra Leone’s striker Mohammed Buya Turay secured himself a move to Belgian side Sint-Turide .The Canerians will be banking on his prowess to lead their attack. Buya previously turned out for Swedish side Dalkurd FF will be at The Canerians for 4 year period.
Kitolano joins Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Congolese International John Kitolano also managed to secure a 3year deal move to English Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers from Norwegian side Odds Ballklubb.
Anguissa joins Fulham.
Cameroonian Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa joins newly promoted English Premiership side Fulham Fc from French top side Marseille on a 4 year deal.His signature completes a number of top lads joining the premiership side including Michael Jean Seri from Nice,the deals are set to help the promoted side stay up on their return to the top flight.
Slimani to Fenerbahce.
Completing the list of confirmed deals is the Aglerian forward Slimani who is set to complete his season-long deal to Turkish gaints Fenerbahce from Leicester City Fc.The lanky forward has had rough path while at Leicester and despite having moved to Newcastle United his form gradually went down. He will be hoping to regain his form and get back to his best .
