Three Ugandan players have been suspended from the on going 2019 Africa Cup of Nations U-17 East and Central Zone qualifiers being staged in Tanzania for attempted age cheating.
According to the tournaments organization committee the players namely Kafumbe Joseph, Elvis Ngonde and Oluka George failed Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) test that was conducted on Wednesday and Thursday under the strict supervision of Confederation Of African Football Medical committee vice president Dr Yasine Zerguini.
The three players along side seven others have subsequently been axed with immediate effect from the tournament .
Of the 10 players three Ugandans, three Kenyans, 2 Tanzanians and a player each from south Sudan and Sudan respectively.
