Algerian top side USM Alger has suffered Confederations Of African Football wrath with four of it’s first team players banned and equally fined.
The ban has been effected with the four players on the wrong end having been involved in a heated fracas that almost threatened the match to end prematurely. The fracas errupted during the CAF Confederations Cup group D match against Rawandan side Rayon Sports at Omar Hamadi Stadium in the city of Algiers.
The Reds and Blacks will have to do without their key player keeper Ismail Mansouri who is among those banned. Mansouri alongside Mohammed Benyahya and Rafik Bouderbal have been banned for two matches while Mohamed Menkhamassa being banned for three matches.
Sokafrika can reliably state that the four players have equally been banned though actual figures haven’t been issued by the Confederations of African Football.
Young Africans/Gor Mahia Fc
USM Alger’s next assignment in the ongoing CAF Confederations Cup tournament will be against Tanzanian side Young Africans on 19th August before playing host to Kenyan side Gor Mahia FC ten days later on 29th August in the City of Algiers.
