Mikel playing time in Limbo at Taijin Teda

Chinese football ethics halting Mikel’s regular playing time at Taijin.

Since the start of this year’s Chinese Super League season, Nigerian international John Obi Mikel had been out of action for his side Taijin Teda on  five different occasions.

The former Chelsea midfielder, resumed training this week after a moment of sideline due to knee injury that he encountered against Dangbai Lifan.

As per the rules and regulations that guides the current state of football in China ,no club is permitted to list up  to more than three foreign players in its starting line up for any game, morever the three selected aliens should not be more than U23 Chinese internationals in the setup.
Preferably, Uli Stielike manager of Taijin Teda chooses to start the following foreign footballers, Brazilian Jonathan, Ghanaian speedster Frank Acheampong and Mikel Bastian of Germany ahead of John Obi Mikel.
Mikel was excluded from the squad on Friday when Taijin face off Jianye Henan.
The Super Green Eagles skipper vies for his role to gather momentum and probably makes himself available for next call up as Nigeria prepares for their next AFCON 19 qualification encounter against Seychelles.
