Mbabane Swallows 🇸🇿 vs. 🇿🇲 Zesco United FC @ The Mavuso Sports Complex in Manzini
Zambia league defending champions and leaders Zesco United are set to play Swaziland league champions Mbabane Swallows in a do or die CAF Champions league group D clash on Saturday at the Mavuso Sports Complex in Manzini .
The must win clash for Zesco has been propelled by close to 50 travelling fans by road and another by air who have this morning left the mining City of Ndola heading to Mbabane which is 1998 kilometres by road and approximately 1 day 2 hours travel by road .
The team led by Zesco Fans Secretary General Elias Kangwa will pass through Gweru in Zimbabwe through South Africa’s Polokwane City and Mokopane before reaching Mababane where they Wii move another 30 kilometres to the second largest city of Manzini.
Zesco with two points same as Premero we Agosto needs the victory to catch up with Etoile du Sahel who host Agosto.Swallows have four points and have lost their last two matches .
Speaking to Sokafrika.com from Lusaka where the travelling fans have so far reached ,Fans SG Elias Kangwa said the fans are optimistic that Zega will collect maximum points and he was so appreciative to the fans for committing to travel .
“Travelling Fans are very much optimistic that Zesco United will collect maximum points in Swaziland.
As the General Secretary for Zesco United fans am very happy and I must appreciate Fans who showed commitment to travel to Swaziland to go and Cheer the team, I must also appreciate the fans who failed to travel due to various commitments. We are United and Forever will be. All the best to Zesco United Fc as they take on Mbabane swallows on Saturday”
Also adding his voice was Cepahas Mutambo who said anything is possible in football predicting an open game
The last time Zesco Fans had a long trip was in February when a similar number made it to the archipelago island of Zanzibar in the preliminary CAF Champions league clash against JKU where they were held to a goalless draw before completing the job in Ndola with a 7-0 route .
They also made a long trip in 2017 to Pretoria where they faced Supersport United in the quarterfinals of the CAF Confederations cup.
Travelling Zesco United fans
