Ahmed ‘Simba’ Toure extends his stay with Asec Mimosas.
The former Asante Kotoko star inked one more year deal for the Ivorian giants which sees him last till 2020.
The 31year old joined Asec last year from Ghana Premier League outfit Bechem United on a 2year deal.
His contract was expected to expire in 2019, but the vintage striker level of output for Asec triggered the club to renew his contract.
In an exclusive interview with The Guardian(Ghana) , He says;
“It shows the club thinks an awful lot of me and want me here.”
“I’m glad it’s all done and it’s happened at the right time before the season, so I can just focus on playing well.”
Toure’s only goal ensured a thrilling start for Asec Mimosa in their first CAFCC home encounter against Ghana champions Aduana Stars after beating them by 1-0.
Asec will play away to Aduana this weekend(Sunday) at the Nana Agyeman Badu Park as far as the round 5th Group stage games of the ongoing CAF Confederations cup is concerned. As a must win debut, The once GPL top scorer is considered to exploit and a ensure the maximum 3points for his side to widen their qualification opportunities to the next round of the competition.
