FIFA ordered Botswana Premier League side Gaborone United to pay striker Bismark Appiah a sum of US$39,000 for unilaterally terminating the player’s contract earlier this year .
The Ghanaian had his contract with the Botswana outfit terminated in January 2016 despite having more than a year left on the agreement.
He took the case to FIFA after he did not receive his dues after the unilateral termination of the contract.
PRO of the club, Kato Masibi confirmed to Sokafrika.com that they had been ordered to pay US$39,000 as compensation to Appiah for the rest of his contract, which was supposed to end in May 2017.
