KCCA FC manager Mike Hillary Mutebi dubs Onduparaka clash following the inaugural edition of the Pilsner Super 8 tourney as a case study ahead of CAF champions League encounter against Egyptian giant’s Al-Ahly.
The final will be held at the Muteesa || Stadium in Wankulukuku, Saturday 25th August 2018.
Addressing the media today in a pre match conference Mutabi expressed his desire to win the silverware, He says;
“We are playing a big club and one that deserves to be here in the Final. As much as it’s a final, the game doubles as our test match ahead of the CAF Champions League game against Al Ahly away in Egypt on Tuesday 28 August 2018. We want to win this Final and pick up the first silverware before season starts.
This will be a big boost for the lads ahead of our final CAF Champions League group game and also the new season.”
The gaffer furthermore acknowledges sponsors to invest much to help clubs, thereby accolade the Uganda football Association(FUFA) for such development
” It is a good initiative by the Football Association to come up with such tournaments. The games have helped players of the participating teams build their fitness levels. It is also a good thing that sponsors have been attracted to football, but the sponsors should consider increasing funding of these tournaments. We (KCCA FC) spend almost more money in preparations than the prize money to be won. If the tournament is to attract clubs, the prize money should be increased.”
Can KCCA become the maiden winners of this inaugural ceremony after beating Bul FC and Nyamityobora FC in the quaters and semi final respectively.
