Today I wish to post a bitter sweet message to us all…I stand very proudly today to commend our players for an exemplary job well done throughout this season. We exceptionally won the League title with six matches remaining, a fete that hasn’t been witnessed before in this country.
And for that I want to say Kudos to our determined players, the technical bench and the EC for your continued and unwavering support. You have all truly crowned the saying that ” Teamwork makes the Dream work”.
However, despite our success here at home, we were unable to get a draw which is what we needed to advance to the quarters of the CAF Confederation Cup. Advancing would have added yet another feather in our cap but as the wise man says, we live to fight another day. We have picked the lessons and learnt the mistakes so we will have to work extra hard and smart to bridge the gaps as we prepare for the CL qualifies in November 2018.
As the entire Gor Mahia fraternity, we sincerely thank you the fans for your amazing support, for traveling to stand with the team, for your prayers and loud cheers that kept their morale up every single game. The game indeed was made beautiful through your presence.
For everyone who stood with the Green Army, Asante Sana!!! In the spirit of good Sportmanship, we congratulate USM Algiers and Rayon Sports who carried the day, and wish them well as they advance into quarters. K’ogalo Hoiyeeeeeeeeee!
