Arnold Origi lands new home at Norwegian second tier

Kenyan International Keeper Arnold Origi has signed for Norwegian second-tier side Kongsvinger IL.

Origi who had a five month stint with Sandness Ulf has been roped in to fill the void left by Kongsvinger IL first choice custodian Aleksey Korodovoy who sustained a serious injury a week ago

In the clubs website Kongsvinger IL through Espen Nystuen said,”When the situation has become as it has been with Aleksey, we do not want to take any chances. We must have two keepers,”

“It is unclear how extensive the injury is, and for now it is uncertain and difficult to say anything about how long Aleksey is out,” he added

Origi is a very, very good keeper. I know him well from the time in Lillestrøm and he has a long time in Norwegian football. We know what we are getting and we are very pleased to get this solution in place.”

The shot stopper will be at the club on a short-term contract
