Relegation bound side Thika United Football Club stunned league champions Gor Mahia winning by a solitary goal in one of the Kenyan Premier League matches played over the weekend.
The Thika based side got into the match with a need to pick maximum points in order to revive their survival chances and they just did that in the second netting the lone goal courtesy of Michael Odongo who tapped in a Jeff Kinyanjui’s cross. The win now eases Thika’s relegation woes though still not fully out of it.
Bandari winning run halted
Coastal based side Bandari Football Club impressive winning streak WS brought to a halt by host Zoo Kericho . Bandari took the lead early into match through Congolese International Yema Mwana in the 16th minute, a win they held on into the later stages of the match when Zoo’s constant pressure paid off netting the equalizer through 2017 Kpl Player of the year Mike Mdoya.
Other matches of the day saw ten man Kakamega Homeboyz thumping Nzoia Sugar 3:2,Ulinzi Stars got he better of Wazito Football Club 1:0 while Vihiga United played out to a one all draw against Sony Sugar Fc in Mumias.
