Coastal based side Bandari Football Club crushed visiting Nakumatt Fc in Mombasa Kenya in one of the Kenya Premier League match played out today Saturday 22 August.
Bandari who have been on some fine form made a strong statement in the clash drawing the first blood just after half the hour mark through William Wardi. The two sides went in for a breather and on resumption Nakumatt drew level through Joe Waithera making it all but a tight encounter for the two sides.
This in turn sparkled the match with a string of attacks from the Port men and they responded swiftly once more through Felly Mulumba who converted from the spot after Wardi was brought down in the penalty area in the 68th. Moments later Bandari secured all the points with the third of the day from Shaban Kenga after having been set up by Benjamin Mosha in the 77th minute

In Awendo host Sony Sugar were held to one all draw by fellow milling side Chemelil Sugar Football Club in a closely contested clash. Chemelil who are fighting to stay up in the top league came our strongly with a well executed game plan that worked out well for them as they went up in the 38th minute through Justin Monda.
After the break Sony made a double change to reinforce their attack, a move that partly worked out for them with the visitors stay put holding on firmly to their slim lead. As the match drew to it’s end ,coach Patrick Odhiambo brought in Stephen Onyango for the worn out Karani Meshack a move that paid off immediately with the new entrant heading cross from Omondi to level the scores.
In another late kick off ,mail men Posta Rangers were beaten at home by struggling side Vihiga United Football Club at the Machakos Stadium. Vihiga’s constant low throw balls paid off after numerous attempts in the 88th minute when Kigadi headed in from a goal mouth melee.The win comes in handy as a boost to Vihiga’s survival chances.
