Algerian -German born South Sudan tactician Achene Ait Abdelmalek has on Thursday 27th September resigned from the top job citing various kind of interference in his work with the countries Football Association.
Barely five months after having taken charge of the South Sudan National team, coach Achene Abdelmalek has opted to resign stating interference on how he should do his work from some quarters of the countries Football Association .
In presser with BBC sports in Juba Abdelmalek said, “They some officials interfere and say this player must play and this player should not play, and why is this player not playing?, “I know that one day every country that I have gone to and where I have worked, whether I decide to stay or to go, things change positively, and I am sure that South Sudan will move forward.”
He further went ahead saying ; “My decision to resign is a good decision; perhaps it will bring a positive change. “Perhaps I have disturbed people here. Perhaps the others would say I am on the side of the truth and others would say they are on the side of truth.” He concluded
Abdelmalek, previously had a stint in Burundi and Djibouti was just in charge for one competitive match with the senior team, an encounter they lost 3-0 to visiting Mali earlier this month in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations 2019 qualifier.
