Kenya’s opponents Ghana name Provisional Squad for AWCON

The Black Queens of Ghana head coach Bashiru Hayford has named a strong 26 provisional players ahead of the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations Tournament.

The team which is composed of 9 foreign based players will further be trimmed to 21 ahead of kickoff next month in Ghana.

Ghana are in the same group with the Harambee Starlets of Kenya, Shepolopolo of Zambia and Banyana Banyana of South Africa.


Goalkeepers: Patricia Mantey (Immigration Ladies), Nana Ama Asantewaa (Police Ladies), Fafali Duhemasi (Police Ladies), Azume Adams.

Defenders: Gladys Amfobea (LadyStrikers), Linda Addae (Soccer Intellectuals), Philicity Asuako (Police Ladies), Veronica Darkwa, Janet Egyir (Aftuklding FC, Iceland), Linda Eshun (Grindavik FC, Iceland), with Faustina Ampah (FC Minsk, Belarus).

Midfielders: Rita Okyere (Prisons Ladies), Juliet Acheampong (Prisons Ladies), Leticia Zikpi (Immigration Ladies), Grace Asantewaa (Ampem Darkoa), Diana Wiege (Halifax Ladies), Elizabeth Addo (New Western Sydney Wanderers).
