Tanzania Premier League side Azam FC have agreed in principle to sign Zambia International Obrey Chola Chirwa.
Chirwa who is a free agent after parting ways with his immediate employer Nogoom El Mostkabl Fc of Egypt has signed a two year deal contract with Azam that will see him spend two seasons with his new side.
The former Yanga SC striker is believed to have fell out with his former club Nogoom El Mostkabl Fc,this after the club failed to honour and pay him his dues as per his contractual agreement with his then employer ,this in turn saw the striker terminating his contract and cutting short his stay at the club.
Its also understood that Chirwa had opted and requested to make a move back to Yanga SC but this didn’t materialize due to coach Mwinyi Zahera who argued that the striker lacks patience when the club is facing difficulties. This then prompted Azam coach Hans Van Der Pluijm who forwarded his name to Azam board who in turn are believed to have sanctioned the deal .
Chirwa will be announced an Azam player on November 15th when the transfer window opens.
