Express FC earned a magnificent victory over league leaders KCCA Fc at Betway Mutesa II Studium,while Kirinya Jinja SS and BUL FC claimed wins on Tuesday.
Express FC had played four games without a win but they bounced back and scored three times against the Kasasiro boys to condemn them to their first defeat of the season.
A Michael Birungi superb header off Badiru Nsubuga cross saw the square pass take an early lead in the 16 minute. Michael Birungi didn’t celebrate as a way of showing respect to his former employers.
Before the half time both sides made substitutions with Express bringing in Tonny Kyamela in posts to replace Ronald Mutebi who got injured after colliding with Kaddu Patrick and Kcca replacing injured Sadam Juma with Allan Kyambadde
With eleven minutes played into the second half Kcca got an equaliser through Allan Kyambadde. Just twenty three minutes remaining Congolese import Eric Kambale scored a second goal with a hard shot that went to the back of the net.
With 19 minutes only remaining to see out the game ,Express fc got a corner kick which was taken by left back Disan Galiwango directly beating the goalkeeper to make it three for square pass Moto moto.
Disan Galiwango’s goal proved to be the difference between the sides in front of sizeable crowd at the end of the thrilling game. KCCA youngster Allan Okello who had earlier replaced Sserwadda pulled one back to make it (3-2) . Express held on for the remaining minutes to get their first win in five games.
The win saw Express climb to Eighth spot in the table with 16 points,while KCCA are still on top of the table with 24 points after 11 games.
Else where both club’s from Jinja won their respective matches ,Bul defeated Onduparaka at Njeru with a single goal scored by Deogracious Ojik. Kirinya Jinja SS beat struggling Paidha Black Angels in Arua by one goal.
