Benue Governor Samuel Ortom has approved the provision of free buses to transport Lobi Stars Football Club supporters to Enugu on Saturday, 22nd December, 2018, for the return leg of the club’s CAF Champions League match against Gor Mahia FC of Kenya.
The decision of the Governor to mobilize massive support for Lobi Stars is to boost their morale so as to enable them overturn the 3-1 first leg defeat they suffered in Kenya.
He assures players and management of the club that the entire state stands behind them as they go into the encounter and expresses confidence in their ability to advance to the next round of the Champions League.
The Deputy Governor, Engineer Benson Abounu will lead the state delegation to Enugu for the match.
Gor Mahia are currently in Ghana where they will camp for two days before flying to Enugu for the decisive clash whose aggregate winner storms into the group stage .
