Mike Mutebi’s remarks on match fixing attract FUFA attention.

Federation of Uganda Football Associations  has promised to conduct  thorough investigations into KCCA’s coach  statement on predetermination of match results in top flight league.

Responding to media statement made by Mike Mutebi ,FUFA said the matter is going to be handled carefully by statutory competent FUFA bodies.

“We maintain our position that all sporting results must be determined in line with the FIFA 17 laws of the game” FUFA wrote on its official website.

While appearing on one of the local television sports interviews ,Mike Mutebi  said that in the last 20 years of top flight league there have been more insidious and corrosive form of match fixing that took place  in the league. He said this involved a player or players, coaches, referees and football administrators manipulating  match results.

“Iam a honest person ,yes am very honest .For the last 20  years Uganda premier league winners have been fixed, talk about Express  Fc,SC Villa, KCCA, URA and Vipers tittles ” said Coach Mike Mutebi. He added on “Every team used to have  a budget not only  KCCA and this we found out at the continent where we are not aided ”       He went on to say that he is candid and frank even if it requires him to put on his arm for sucrificing he will do it .  Mutebi promised to expose them if asked to do so.

This is not the first time blatant cases ,excesses of football corruption and preliminary approaches to players , groundsmen, referees and others  have been reported because  in 2003 league was thrown into limbo  when Villa put 22 goals past Akol Fc.
