Vipers sack head coach Martinez
Javier Martinez Espinoza has been relieved off his duties as Sports Club Vipers head coach.
Vipers head coach Javier Martinez Espinoza has been sacked after a mixture of league results and after failing to guide his side to group stages of CAF champions league .
Martinez sacking came just 2 hours after Vipers goalless draw with Tooro United at St marrys Studium in Kitende.
“We have terminated the contract of Javier Martinez as our head coach and we thank him for his services rendered to our club ” read the statement on official Vipers site.
Martinez side was ejected out of CAF champions league by Algerian Club Sportive Constantine on 3-0 aggregate after beating them on home and away.
The club’s website indicates that the club will announce a new technical staff within 24 hours.
The Kitende based club was drawn against CS Sfaxien of Tunisia in CAF Confederations cup playoffs after dropping down from Champions league.
Martinez leaves Vipers in second position on Startimes ladder with 25 points collected from 11 games .
