Breaking News: Goalkeeper Kadiaba voted MP in DRC
Robert Kadiaba Muteba former DRC goalkeeper who is famously known for celebrating the goal by bouncing his bum around the penalty area has been voted as an MP.
The Independent National Electoral commission (CENI) of Democratic Republic of Congo has announced former Elephants and TP Mazembe goalkeeper Robert Kadiaba Muteba among 23 MPs that won the recently concluded presidential and provincial Member of Parliament elections.
The former flamboyant goalkeeper had stood on National party for Democracy and development card in upper Katanga province where he is much idolised.His star power is particularly among the middle aged people and youth who look at him as a peace maker.
Kadiaba 42 years old ,is best remembered at TP Mazembe whom he led to World club cup in 2010 where they lost to Intermilan.He won the inaugural African Nations Championship (CHAN) in 2009 with Congo and went on to lead Elephants to a third place Finnish in 2015 AFCON.
Before the Elections the” Bum shuffle goal celebrator” had been at Pamphile Mihayo as goalkeeper’s coach.
