Uganda premier league champion Sports club Vipers   meet CS- Sfaxien of Tunisia in a crucial first leg of CAF Confederations cup playoffs at St Mary’s Studium kitende.

Vipers are vying to book a place in  Group stages of CAF Confederations for the first time after automatic drop down from   CAF champions league while his opponents are giants in  this Cup having won it on four occasions.

The Ugandan side should put their Champions league  3-0 woes against CS Constantine back if they are to get positive results from this game.Booking a place in group stages of CAF Confederations cup will be  the best achievement and they need to do that if they are to begin the their story on African football.

They got back to the winning ways in the Startimes uganda premier league with a 3-0 dubbing of Onduparaka, a result  that should act as morale booster today when they clash with experienced Tunisian side.

Michael  Ouma and Edward Golola will be tasked to choose the best starting X1 that could  deliver on the day. They will miss goalkeeper Bashir Ssekagya who got injured in Algeria and Innocent Wafula  who is yet to be cleared by CAF .The players  that started against Onduparaka  are likely to have the first nod.

On the other hand  CS-Sfaxien  manager Ruud Krol said his team is in good shape  after  long hours of flight.” We are  fine and ready because we found the weather  conditions nice to us,and we expect to do well” Said the Dutchman. This is  their first time  playing in uganda .

The two sides meet again in a reverse fixture a week later at Stade Taeb Mhiri in Tunisia.
