CAF CONFEDERATION CUP (playoffs)

Otoho D’oyo 3-0 KCCA Fc

(first leg )

Uganda representatives in CAF Confederations cup KCCA Fc  were torn apart by Otoho at Stade Omnisport  Marie Ngouabi yesterday, netting three goals  against the Kasasiro boys.

The match exploded into life for home team midway in the 20th minute of the first half when the Benin centre referee Adidas Ligali pointed to the penalty spot and Otoho’s Shot tempered Moussa Yedan made no mistake to send  Charles Lukwago the wrong way from the spot .

Congolese champions kept their foot on the accelerator and three minutes later after the first goal Yedan doubled Otoho’s lead when he received   a superb cross with the outside of his foot and short directly  into the net thus completing his brace against the Uganda side.

In the second stanza  KCCA’s coach Mike Mutebi made some changes with Mike Mutyaba giving way  for Allan Kyambadde and Muzamiru Mutyaba coming on for Lawrence Bukenya  .

The changes seemed  to pay off as KCCA came fighting minutes later but their best chance by Allan Okello was saved by Otoho’s custodian Chansel Mohikola.Allan Kyambadde got another chance after a sublime display but again he was denied by shot stopper.

The search for a goal left KCCA defence exposed at the back giving Otoho another chance, thus a Kikasa Wamba’s  goal in the 75 minute sealed the Kasasiro boys  fate in Owando.

The visitors rallied to the end but their shots were off target as if they had left their shooting boots behind.

KCCA will host Otoho  in a reverse fixture a week later in Kampala hoping to correct mistakes and overturn the results.
