Transitional league off to a sparkling start with Zanaco,Mighty biggest winners on MD1

The 2019 MTN/FAZ Transitional Super League kicked off on Sunday with 8 matches played on Matchday one.
In stream one,Zanaco were big winners on the day as they launched their bid to return to continental football next season with a 4-1 win over Red Arrows at Sunset Stadium.
Zimbabwean midfielder Tafadzwa Rusike scored a brace while Ernest Mbewe and Roger Kola completed the rout with Francis Simwanza scoring the consolation for the ‘Airmen’.

Nakambala Leopards beat Kitwe by a lone goal from veteran midfielder Portipher Zulu in Mazabuka.
ZESCO United were scheduled to begin their title defence with a tricky away fixture to Army-sponsored Green Buffaloes but this fixture has been rescheduled to a later date as Zega Mambo were in action on Saturday in the Samuel Zoom Charity Shield were they lost on post match penalties to rivals Nkana.
In stream two,Power Dynamos,NAPSA Stars and Buildcon were all 2-0 winners on Matchday one.
Power beat newly promoted Maestro United at Arthur Davies Stadium with goals coming from Zimbabwean centre back Jimmy Dzingai and substitute Martin Kayuwa while a brace on debut for Burundian international striker Laudit Mavugo gave NAPSA Stars a much deserved win over Nkwazi in an early kickoff match played at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka.
Big spenders from Ndola,Buildcon beat another newly promoted side in Circuit City to get their first league match win for the first time with goals from Zambia Under-20 international Klings Kangwa and a 70th minute penalty from Moses Phiri earning them maximum points in week one at Levy Mwanawasa while earlier at the same venue Forest Rangers beat Green Eagles by a lone goal from Austin Muwowo.
Lumwana Radiants were to welcome 12-time league champions Nkana but will have to wait as Kalampa were in still celebrating their Charity Shield triumph over rivals ZESCO United on Saturday.
