Kaizer chiefs part ways with Godfrey Walusimbi.
Godfrey Walusimbi had a limited playing time at Amakhosi , Appearing for Soweto side 17 times in Five months.
SouthAfrican PSL side Kaiser chiefs have released uganda cranes leftback Godfrey Walusimbi “jaja walu” after five months . Kaiser chiefs parted ways with the former Gor Mahia left back who joined them in August last year.
“Kaiser chiefs have parted ways with left back Godfrey Walusimbi.The player has opted to go back home to Uganda. We would like to thank Walusimbi for his contribution to Kaiser chiefs and wish him all the best ” Kaiser chiefs official Facebook page wrote
The club didn’t give a reason why they are dropping 30 years old ugandan experienced left back. But Sokafrika understands that Amakhosi expected Venezuelan Gustavo Paez to move away from Soweto ,so they had Signed Nigerian goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi to fill his foreign slot at the club but the South American rescinded his decision and decided to stay hence prompting the club to release the ugandan player to free up one spot and accommodate the Nigerian shot stopper signed from Chippa United.
Besides that Walusimbi had gone down the pecking order with the German coach Ernst Middendorp preferring Ntiya- Ntiya and Moshiane over the former K’Ogalo left back player.
Walusimbi has previously featured for Sports club villa , DRC’s Don Bosco and Kenyan giants Gor Mahia whom he left controversially in August to join Kaiser chiefs.
