Kipkirui floors Vihiga,Leopards caged in Machakos

Nicholas Kipkirui struck at  the stroke of half time to hand Gor Mahia victory over Vihiga United.

Fresh from thumping Egptian side Zamalek on Sunday,Gor continued with impressive form getting better of Vihiga United at the Bukhungu Stadium in a Kenyan Premier League midweek fixture.

In a all fair first 40 minutes,  Vihiga defended off well holding champions at bay but just before settling off for a breather,Nicholas Kipkirui struck with a minute left to hand the lead. In the final half of the encounter both teams played out to a barren draw. The win now takes champions to 19points and third on the log.

Afc Leopards 1:2 Mount Kenya 

In Machakos ,former Ingwe player Timothy Wanyonyi scored the winning goal  handing new boss  Cassa Mbungo a bitter start losing out to Mount Kenya United in  a 1:2 scoreline. Defender Amani Kayata drew the first blood just after ten minutes of play before his counterpart Salim Abdalla leveld the score for Ingwe leading to one all scoreline at halftime,Wanyonyi would then get the winning goal for Mount Kenya and the second of the season.

Western Stima 1:0 Zoo Kericho

In Kisumu, Paul Ogai coached side continued with their fine run in the league with a one nil victory over Kericho side Zoo Kericho at Moi Stadium Kisumu. Stima’s loan goal was scored by  John Mwita .
