Gor Mahia assistant coach Zedekiah “Zico” Otieno has resigned.
The former international and award winning skipper at Gor tendered his resignation letter addressed to the club’s Chairman Friday evening citing wish to seek a new challenge after a two year stint at the club.
In a statement in the club’s official portal ,the club through it’s chairman Ambrose Rachier has since then accepted his resignation and subsequently wished him well with part of the statement which reads;
“We have accepted Zico’s resignation and thank him for his dedicated service. We wish him well in his future endeavors”.
” It has been a pleasure working with Zico, and on behalf of the team, we would like to wish him the very best in all his future endeavors”.
Zico who rejoined K’ogallo from Posta Rangers in 2016 has since then served under Ze Maria,Dylan Kerr and current head coach Hassan Oktay. It is believed that the former SoNy Sugar coach is headed to Kenya Premier League side KCB who had on Friday sacked Frank Ouna as the head coach.
