Uganda and Zimbabwe share spoils in a match of missed chances

Uganda Cranes and Zimbabwe played out to one all draw in their second Group A  match in the ongoing AFCON tournament.

Emmanuel Okwi and Khama Billiat  first half goals proved decesive in a hotly and closely contested match Wednesday evening.Having had a strong start beating  Leopards of DR Congo , Cranes who were tipped to have an easy win started strongly and with just 12 minutes of play Uganda would go ahead taking the lead through Emmanuel Okwi’s easy tap in past George Chigova.

Billiat leveller

Okwi’s  goal would ignite fireworks in the match with Zimbabwe going all blazing in search for an equalizer,a move that proved fruitful pinning cranes to their own half. A lovely exchange of passes from Captain Musona who chested out to on rushing Ovidy Karuru,the laterl would then deliver in a low cross for Khama Billiat to easily tap in restoring parity.

Misses chances.

In the second half a series of missed chances were witness, in the 58th minute captain Musona failed to beat Onyango in goal with the keeper well beaten,Patrick Kaduu would also  fall a victim blasting over an empty net. Evans Rusike too missed a glorious chance to give the warriors a vital win after being set through by Billiat.

With the draw,Uganda tops Group A on four points, Egypt comes second on three points while DR Congo sits bottom.
