Barrack Young Controller forward Kelvin Potis and LISCR’s Midfielder Curtis Koon have been dropped from Liberia’s CHAN squad, after failing medical examination conducted by the technical staff of the Liberia National team.
The two players was surprisingly ommitted from the LONE STAR Camp after they failed to prove their fitness according to communication from the Liberia Football Association.
BYC’s trio’s Kelvin Potis, Experience defender Teah Dennis, and Daniel Woto, Varney Boakai Sando of Champions LPRC oilers and Liscr’s duo goalkeeper Tommy Songo and box to box midfielder Curtis Koon ,where the few names that surprisingly casualties from the local National team when Coach Thomas Kojo released the final 25-man squad, made for the African Nations Championships (CHAN) Qualifier match against the teranga Lion’s of Senegal.
Manager Thomas kojo had selected 25 players for training camp in Monrovia before surprisingly two players was omited from the team, due to failed medical test reducing the list to 23 players hundred percent eligible and complete fit for the Senegal test.
However the omission of the duo’s BYC’s Kelvin Potis and Liscr’s energetic Midfielder Curtis Koon has raises a lot of eyebrows as both players have been outstanding performers in the Liberian top flight.
Kelvin potis ,Liberia Football Association 2018/2019 Most valuable player was impressive during the Campaign but it was reported that he had suffer a Ankle injury at the close of the Season and Liscr’s midfielder Curtis Koon a player with plenty of energy, who capped a brilliant season is said to have surfer a Groin in the thigh.
It has however emerged that both players was unable to prove their fitness during the team three days medical test.
Meanwhile , the Local National team of Liberia is expected to faced the home base National team of Senegal in the 2020 CHAN qualifiers, the event is organized to promote only local players plying their soccer career in Domestic competitions.
