Carlos Williams and Kelvin Potis drop , not Liscr Curtis Koon, LONE STAR Coach Kojo clarifies Media’s reports

Liberia Lonestar Coach, Thomas Kojo has came out to clarified recent media report that Liscr FC sensation Curtis Koon was droped from the local Lone Star Camp in preparation for the 2020 CHAN match with Senegal set for next month.
Kojo termed the report as false that player Curtis Koon was drop from the team : it isn’t true that Curtis was drop , he was called -up to the national and had never been invited by our technical staff and in no way he will be drop.
Yes it true that two player was omitted from the team and that was the case of Watanga Carlos Williams and BYC’s Kelvin Potis, the LONE STAR coach clarifies.
Gossip in local football and speculated by local media recently that player Curtis Koon and Kelvin Potis were dropped from the Lonestar squad for poor performance during the medical examination.

But LONE STAR Coach Kojo in an interview with local news desk clarified that at no time was Curtis Koon call for national team duty, he mention Watanga Carlos Williams and BYC’s Kelvin Potis are the two players dropped due to injuries.

The Lone star Coach added that Player Carlos was invited but did not join the squad due injuries while Potis failed the Physical test and not the medical.
It can be recalled, Coach Thomas Kojo recently released a 25 man delegation that was subjected to medical ahead of the nation ensuing CHAN qualifiers.

Meanwhile, The local national team will play host to Senegal in the preliminary rounds of the upcoming CHAN nations on July 28, 2019 before travelling to Dakar the following week for the returned leg.

The CHAN qualifiers is organized to promote only local players plying their soccer career in Domestic competitions.
