Visiting Thika queens hammered Wadadia 3-1 in an an entertaining FKF Women Premier League match played at mumias sports complex today saturday 20th july 2019. The visitors started on high attacking Wadadia from both flanks with Cherry Avilia and Mwanalima Adam being a thorn in Wadadia defence and attacking constantly.
The consistency bore fruits in the 33rd minute after Rachael Mwema gave them a lead firing home past Wadadia keeper Odato Monica in goal. Mwanalima Adam doubled the lead in the 38th minute before Kurgat Miriam replied for Wadadia just before the break.
Wadidia came back from the break re-energized, Marion Abiona’s shot hitting the goal post from a well executed curve, defense lapse costed them the third goal in the 64th minute after Cherry Avilia made a good curve just at the edge of the box a shot that found Wadadia’s keeper off the mark to make it 3-1.
