Nigeria international Henry Onyekuru has joined French Ligue 1 side Monaco for a reported fee of around £12m from English Premier League side Everton.
The 22-year-old signed a five year contract with the Red and Whites.
Onyekuru joined Everton from Belgian team KAS. Eupen in summer 2017 and was immediately loaned back to Belgium with Anderlecht.
He made a similar move to Galatasaray for the following season where he scored a total of 16 goals in 44 games.
“We are very happy to have Henry Onyekuru with us. He has demonstrated his qualities in recent seasons. He is a fast and powerful offensive player who will strengthen our offensive sector. We welcome him,” Monaco manager Oleg Petrov told the club website.
An Académie d’Aspire of Senegal graduate, Onyekuru netted 10 goals in 29 matches for the during his stay at Bruges side between year 2017 and 2018.
Onyekuru ,who has 11 caps, took part in the Super Eagles’ 3rd place at the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
His new side Monaco, who won their eighth domestic championship in 2016/17, finished 17th in last season’s French top flight.
