Sebastien Migne’s contract as Harambee Stars coach ended by FKF

I would like by this release to say goodbye to the fans, players and staff of Harambee stars.
When you get into a new sporting adventure, you do it with a lot of enthusiasm, but today I’m going to take a different path for the rest of my career.

Following a reflection initiated after the CAN with my leaders, we concluded that it was better to stop our collaboration.
Indeed, the initial objective of qualifying the team to the Can having been achieved, it is for me to set myself new professional challenges, when the FKF must, it, to operate new motivational levers to confirm its progression.

Kenya will remain for me a great chapter of my life and such a wonderful country. We shared, together, beautiful emotions. This story began in the anonymity of a match in Machakos against Swaziland and ended with participation in the biggest event in Africa, the CAN 2019 in Egypt.
I am very proud to have helped to put Kenyan football back on the map after 15 years of absence.
During our qualifying campaign we had a lot of hope with the fans … even though the reality of elimination against the two future finalists reminded us how high the level is demanding and the way to go.

If I can assure one thing, it is to have always done the maximum. This is also the case of my staff. We put all our capacities at the service of Harambee Stars, and this dice the first day so that our supporters become proud of their National Selection.

I would like to thank all the people who gave me their trust and the opportunity to train this group.

I also want to thank the players for their involvement and professionalism despite the difficulties sometimes encountered.
The main interest of this job remains for me the relationship that can be established with them.
And I must admit that they were great.

I also thank the supporters who have been mostly kind to me.

I wish good luck to all players and remain convinced of their qualification for CAN 2021.

I am proud of the work accomplished and happy to have modestly participated in laying the future foundation of this team.

I hope you will achieve great success.
