Ma’arouf and el-Bosati to officiate in the U-23 AFCON Cairo 2019

The International Egyptian referee Mohamed Ma’arouf accompanied with other 11 men referees and the  international Egyptian  assistant referee Youssef El-Bossati with other 11 assistant men referees from all over Africa, have been selected by the (CAF) Referees Committee

to take part in theU-23 AFCON  qualifying tournament for Tokyo 2020.

In addition,  3 other women referees were   selected also  to officiate  the matches of the  tournament  hosted by Egypt at the Cairo Stadium and El Salam Stadium from 8th  to 22nd  of  November

The tournament takes place in Cairo where two stadiums will host the African Cup of Nations, Cairo Stadium and El Salam Stadium.  Teams were divided into 2 groups,  group A, which includes Mali, Cameroon and Ghana, while group B includes  Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, South Africa and Zambia.

The Cairo International Stadium can accommodate 75,000 fans, while El-Salam Stadium can accommodate 30,000 fans.
