Liberian Striker Vafing Jabateh has joined the 6th German team of his career after completing his move to Niedersachsenliga Club VfL Oldenburg.
The terms of the transfer was undisclosed, but he replaces Cameroonian Striker Conrad Azong who move to VFB Oldenburg in the upper Regionalliga Nord Division, the fourtier of German football.

“We noticed Vafing Jabateh against us in a friendly in February. But that time Essen, had already pick him, but Azong moving to VfB, we thought it necessary to bring in a dangerous substitute that has the same quality and our choice was Vafing. “he is a great player and has lot of qualities that will fit well with our team, VfL Oldenburg sports director Detlef Blancke said after the club announced the signing of the Liberian Striker.
Born on June 9 1993, Gbarnga, Bong county in Monrovia, Liberia, Vafing Meme Jabateh began his career at lower division Club Diamond FC , before moving to Barrack Young Controller (BYC), he than travel to Nigeria in 2014 and had chances with Ebedie Academy, before moving to Germany and sign for VSK Osterholz-Scharmbeck.
He had a short spell with the club and move to FC Oberneuland, Jabateh had also played for Uphusen, BV Essen and Bremer SV.
Vafing Jabateh last season play for Bremer SV scored 26 goals in 31 games, before moving to national league club BV Essen, where he played 17 games and found the back of the net with 8 goals, before the Coronavirus crisis, that halted all Sports activities.
The prolific goalscorer, who turn 27-year-old, last Tuesday is yet to make an official appearance for the Liberia National team , despite have series of training with the LONE STAR, He had played for five different clubs in Germany including, VSK Osterholz-Scharmbeck, FC Oberneuland, TB Uphusen, Bremer SV, BV Essen and now VFL Oldenburg his six clubs in six years.
Jabateh, had also played 84games 77starts, 46goals across four competitions including the DFB-Pokal, Bremerliga, Oberliga Niedersachsen and the Regionalliga for the five different clubs in his six years playing Germany football.
