Former FC Fassell forward Mohammed Keka Kamara has reportedly agreed a deal to joined Turkish TFF lig. 1 Menemenspor.
The 22-year-old has been on the radar of the Turkish giants for some times now, and latest transfer news is reporting that the former Paderborn winger have signed for the club base in the Menemen district of İzmir province, Turkey.
AJANSSPOR reported last week, that Mohammed Kamara affectionately known as Keka held talks with officials of the club in Menemen last week and the transfer was expected to be announced soon.
Liberian Sports International source in Turkish confirmed that the transfer of the Skillful Liberian footballer to the Turkish Club, is done and all that is left is official pronouncement in the coming hours as subject to medical is pending.
Our source said the club who were desperate to land the winger this summer affirmed the faith in the skilful forward and the Head coach of the side, Dilaver Mutlu assured the winger he is the player he wants.
According to him, Kamara can add more flair and energy to his side and promised him of regular action. Keka, who contract with USL Championship, La Galaxy 2 expires this summer will join Menemenspor on October 1.
The length of his contract wasn’t disclose, but reports describe it as a favorible one for both parties involved. “Menemenspor is a very big club. For now, I will not say anything about my transfer,” he said.
“We will see what will happen,” he added.
Meanwhile, Turkish outlet AJANSSPOR latest report, have said Mohammed Kamara 22-year-old has already agreed personal terms with Menemenspor and the club will soon unveil him as their new player.
Kamara begin his Career with Liberian Club FC Fassell, before Ebola drove him out of Africa and he eventually settled in the United State to school and continue developing his career.
The youngster was first signed by Tyler Junior College Apache (TJC) team and his incredible performance in the College league switch him to UCLA Bruins, were Kamara scored remarkable 80 goals and tallied 10 assists in just 44 games, across three seasons.
Keka later joined Bundesliga club Paderborn and scored 8goals in seven matches for the club, and Kamara again ended his contract with the German side after mutual consent, and later announced as the new player of USL side La Galaxy 2.
He played the first half of season with the Club scoring 4 goals in 10 matches, as soccer around the world was hit, by the Coronavirus Pandemic crisis. After the return of football and the USL Championship resumed Kamara ended his contract with La Galaxy 2, opting for a new challenge elsewhere.
Despite linked to several clubs across Europe,it is believed that Turkish First-tier Club Menemenspor have secured a deal with the Liberian footballer. Menemenspor currently sit 17th place in the 2020-2021 TFF-1. League.
