Simba in precious away win as Zamalek held at home

Tanzania champions Simba began life at the group stage of the CAF champions league with a surprise 0-1 away win over Congolese giants AS Vita .
Simba’s penalty goal was netted by the club’s forward, Chris Mugalu.
On the next game, Simba will play against Al Ahly SC at home at the Benjamin Mkapa stadium in Dar es Salaam

In Cairo ,Zamalek dropped their first points in the Champions League groupstage after being held to a scoreless draw by Algeria’s MC Alger on Friday.
The Whites wasted many scoring chances which may have turned the game upside down but the players’ lacked accuracy in the final touch.
Both sides now have one point in Group D that includes also Tunisia’s Esperance and Senegal’s Teungueth FC.
Zamalek fly off to Senegal in order to face Teungueth FC on 23 February in the second round of the African Champions League group stage while MC Alger play hosts to Esperance .
