Patrice Carteron returns to Zamalek for second stint
Zamalek have announced the re-appointment of French manager Patrice Carteron for a second stint to replace the sacked Jaime Pacheco.
Zamalek had announced the sacking of Portuguese head coach Jaime Pacheco following their 2-0 victory over Ceramica Cleopatra last Thursday .
Patrice Carteron will now be the one to take over from Pacheco as the Frenchman has resigned as Al-Taawoun head coach just on Thursday, hours before the Ceramica encounter.
Cartero had a good time with Zamalek, taking charge of the club in 31 games, winning 19 while losing only three.
Carteron led the club to the Egyptian Super Cup title as well as the CAF Super Cup, before guiding the Whites to the CAF Champions League semi-finals.
And now he is back for a second stint.
Carteron is very experienced when it comes to Egyptian football, having coached Wadi Degla and Zamalek’s rivals Al Ahly; however, his time with the latter was rather unsuccessful.
Zamalek had 36 head coaches in 84 months setting a record of changing coaches.
